Care for the Whole Person

SSCA_Updated_Logo_72Reiki_logo_72ppi

Community acupuncture is a nationwide movement to create access to acupuncture by making treatments affordable. At South Shore Community Acupuncture, initial visits are $40 and follow-up visits are $25. Treatments take place while you rest in a comfortable recliner in our serene common treatment room. During your initial treatment, we will create a treatment plan that may incorporate acupuncture, Asian bodywork, mindfulness techniques, nutrition and other take home practices for families to do together.

We use points on the head and below the elbows and knees to treat the entire body, so there’s no need to undress, just remove your shoes and roll up your pants and sleeves. We can even address your back pain by treating points on your wrists. Young children may receive a very gentle, non-insertive technique.

You will be with other people quietly receiving treatment at the same time. Patients benefit many ways from the community setting. In our busy society, it is not often we stop and take time to relax while surrounded by our peers. This is not a lack of privacy but an opportunity to experience treatment with family, friends and community. The shared experience makes individual treatments more powerful. Whole families can benefit from a group treatments, helping to support parents and siblings. Young children and infants may be treated in individual rooms dependent on their needs.

SSCA was recently highlighted in the Patriot Ledger.  You can access the article here.
